Responsibilities:
To implement and improve safety systems at Engg. & Project and attain the Tata Steel vision of zero harm
To implement the Safety Excellence Journey through driving Safety ABP, Safety Campaigns, online Ensafe system and ensure compliance to Statutory & other related rules
with the ultimate aim of creating a safe work environment and lead to become best in class department by carrying responsibility of safety matters of all areas including providing
expertise in rolling out the safety system across Engg. & Project as per requirement.
To assist Head Safety West Bokaro with reviews and analysis of divisional safety performance and progress against set initiatives.
To take responsibility of newly joining employee, including officers and contractors’ employee for safety orientation training
To monitor activities of safety inspectors and/or supervisors and /or workmen inspectors for the purpose of regular review of point raised by them
Key Accountabilities
• Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHS-MS) at West Bokaro • Understanding the system • Documentation • Coordinating, follow-up incident analysis and investigations • Training the officers
Setting up strategic direction for safety and environment of the plant. Prepare and ensure achievement of BO&S related to safety and environment. Follow up for implementation of decisions of DIC, Apex safety subcommittees and local issues.
To Provide support in implementing safety standards, identifying hazards, unsafe act and condition at shop floor through coaching & mentoring, technical consulting and training at shop floor.
