Job Description:
Manage and lead all engineering activities, both in-house and outsourced, during the proposal, design and construction stages of substation projects with strict adherence to the project contract.
Support proposal efforts by introducing and promoting innovation, cost saving ideas, and value-added solutions to the overall system design concept.
On-site assessment and evaluation of existing equipment, steel structures, foundations, etc., in so called “brown field” substation projects
Providing expertise and support to the proposal and project teams in validating sub-contractor bids, and in negotiating sub-contracts for electrical substation projects
Competencies and skills:
Knowledge of applicable ANSI standards is required.
Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suites, including Outlook and other project management tools is a plus
Ability to coordinate with other and clearly communicate with subtractors and clients.
Education
Bachelor’s of Engineering in Electrical Engineering
Experience on high voltage substation Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) projects.
