Job Description:
Define the architecture and functionalities of traction drives or auxiliary converter systems, and provide technical leadership to engineering studies in order to reach performance in compliance with initial requirements. Collect external (customer, standards) and internal (rolling stock) requirements, and allocate them to the technical teams. While optimizing cost, allocate the transverse requirements (including EMC, acoustics, reliability, safety, weight) to the various traction or auxiliary functions, in close collaboration with experts and RAMS engineers. Ensure consistency and compatibility between all traction or auxiliary functions specifications by verifying FRS and component specifications. Organize, prepare, and lead system design reviews. Build the Product Breakdown Structure. Work with the validation team to define the traction or auxiliary validation strategy. Define and participate in the commissioning (i.e. fine tuning), and manage in collaboration with validation manager. Identify technical risks. Support the traction or auxiliary PrEM for implementation, or update of the technical part of the risk mitigation plan. Ensure that the constructional & functional traction or auxiliary configuration is compliant with requirements, including performing verification. Participate in technical meetings with customer in order to provide support to the Sub-System Manager and / or PrEM. Support the traction or auxiliary PrEM by proposing QCD improvements. Analyze technical issues and propose solutions during the commissioning and the reliability growth phase. Provide Return of Experience to be implemented in Reference Solutions. Contribute to the RoE committee and documentation updates.
