Job Description:
Technical Project Engineering focuses on a range of engineering disciplines e.g. electrical, mechanical, chemical, civil, structural, automation and software engineering. The activities associated with project engineering include discipline engineering and design; planning, risk assessments; coordination of resources (personnel and equipment).
Responsibilities:
Involved in performing power system studies such as load flow, short circuit, transient stability, switching transients and alike for utility / industrial. systems.
Correlating power system performance (i.e., dynamic performance, transient performance, switching phenomena etc.) with design of power system equipment and system control.
Modeling of power system equipment and performing simulation in power system software packages such as EMTDC, PSCAD, PSS/E, RTDS, DIgSILENT and alike
Specifying power system equipment such as arrestors, capacitor, reactor, transformer and alike.
Verifying supplier documents and equipment testing requirements
Background:
PhD in Power Systems and/or with relevant work Experience of 1-3 years
M. Tech, Power Systems and/or with relevant work Experience of 2-5 years
B.E/B. Tech, Electrical Engineering and/or with relevant work Experience of 5-10 years
Knowledge on Simulation tools like PSCAD/PSSE/MATLAB/Dig SILENT
Knowledge on International standards (i.e., IEEE/IEC/GIGRE)
Understanding application of Power Electronics in HV/EHV system
