Job Description:
- Preparation of design/detailing of major bridges superstructures covering PSC, steel or open web girders and deck slab
- Preparation of design/ detailing of Major bridges substructures – Pier cap, piers and foundations (open cast & pile type)
- Preparation of design/detailing of railway Minor bridges, underpasses and RCC Box.
- Estimation of quantities of RCC/ Reinforcement/ earthwork/ enabling structures civil quantities
- Design of temporary/ enabling structures, formworks
- Design of sheet pile/ soldier piles/ cofferdams/ safety arrangement for deep excavation
- Design of abutments, wing wall/ return wall.
- Knowledge of Technical specifications/ Concrete bridge code/ IR bridge manual/ rule
Pre-Bid Design:
- Study of tender documents and preparing technical queries.
- Estimation of quantities for permanent structures & civil works (Important, Major & minor bridges, station building/ staff quarters, other civil works) for tender estimates.
- Estimation of quantities of temporary/ enabling structures and civil works
- Earth work quantity calculation for doubling/ track laying.
- Conversant with optimization and Value Engineering ideas and techniques
