Job Description:
- Responsible for new product development, range extensions and application engineering projects, VA/VE and should have completed and lead considerable amount of product development cycles.
- Knowledge on Electrical Cables, Accessories, protection, components, function, and requirements. Should be able to read specifications, convert specifications into product concepts and be able to correlate with products in portfolio or develop new products.
- Experience in end-to-end new product development from scratch. Knowledge on governing standards, test methods, preparation of test samples, liaising with test labs and customers for product approvals.
- Define qualification plan and perform feasibility analysis.
- Product validation, Internal/External and ensure compliance certification to reference national and international standards.
- Coordinating with cross functional teams including overseas partners during product development process
- Design & detailing of manufacturing fixtures, gauges, and testing fixtures.
- Ensure adherence to product development governing process and guidelines, phase Gate process / DFMEA and product development with defined budget and resources
- Conceptualizing new product ideas by using CAD software to design prototypes.
REQUIREMENTS:
- BE Electrical / Mechanical / Diploma Elect / Mech from reputed institute with minimum 7-10 years of experience in electrical product Design and development
- Experience in the field of Product design and development is preferable.
- Hands on experience in 3D modeling software and Electrical simulation Ansys, COMSOL skills.
- Certification on project management, lean PD or DFSS and with six sigma green belt preferable.
- Working knowledge on manufacturing processes, polymer, ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
- Strong analytic work methodology and problem-solving skills.
