Job Description:
- Make 3D models and 2D drawings of mechanical components and assemblies.Rig up fixtures and design jigs for lab and field testing of the product.
- Qualify and interact with vendors for realization of design requirement for products (Telecom and Space).
- Assist in obtaining product certifications by external agencies.
- Perform mechanical assembly and dismantling of equipment at office premises.
- Deploy equipment on field for pilots or testing.
Participate in field trials of products at customer premises. - Site planning for telecom and satcom product deployment.
- Create assembly and maintenance documentation for customer.
- Perform inspection and maintenance of equipment as required.
- Represent the company in trade-shows and conferences.
JOB REQUIREMENT
- Experienced in 3D solid modelling of machined, sheet metal parts and system assembly. Work with Siemens NX CAD tool and FreeCAD.
- Experienced in 2D drafting of milled parts, sheet metal parts, sheet bending drawings and assembly drawings. Should be well-versed with GD&T and ASME Y14.5 drafting standards. Work with Siemens NX CAD tool and AutoCAD 2D.
- Knowledge of mechnical fabrication processes.
Hands-on knowledge to improvise and build mechanical fixtures as and when required.
Hands-on knowledege of using mechanical power tools. - Required to have a good understanding of the environmental tests as per product qualification standards, like MIL-STD-810, JS55555 etc.
- Should be capable of working effectively within the team and handle inter-team and vendor communications.
- Should be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Electrical Engineering
- Plan electronics production activities to improve delivery timelines while maintaining high quality and cost-effectivenessTake lead in fulfilling customer orders and deliveries
Identify delivery exceptions and provide alternative solutions - Develop process improvements for inventory, manufacturing and production control systems
Plan for purchase of equipment & material required to meet the delivery schedule
Field Assistance on deployment of product on site - Work with vendors for material procurement and delivery
Identify new suppliers and manage existing suppliers to meet the production needs
Negotiate with suppliers to optimize cost
Maintain inventory actively - Research about certification requirements and execute the procurement of the same
- Apply for regulatory approvals required to demonstrate products to customers
