Job Description:
- Mechanical Engineer to lead and execute ETO, sustaining and cost out projects for Eaton’s Network protector products.Supports and leads projects with cross-functional teams focusing on implementation of regulator design enhancements, manufacturability, and cost-out initiatives
- Coordinate design automation efforts currently under way, as well as continually look for new automation opportunities
- Interfaces with R&D, purchasing, manufacturing, QA, marketing, sales, and the customer to provide customized design solutions for customernetwork protector orders
- Perform design and drawing activities for regulator products of moderate complexity in accordance with established practices and company standards, including bill of material, detail/assembly, and customer drawings
Develop detailed design, manufacturing process, and application experience in the areas of medium voltage Regulator productline
Interact with global cross functional teams to perform design, ETO, sustaining and cost out ideas for network protector business - Provide technical support and design work to improve regulator products which address performance
- improvements, quality, standards, and reduce costs consistent with requirements and limitations imposed by tooling, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Process orders and design customer network protector products in an ETO environment in accordance with established practices and industry & company standards, including bills of material, detail/assembly, and customer drawings
- Collaborate with Badger, Franksville R&D to understand, develop, and implement network protector design and manufacturing process enhancements into the manufacturing environment
- Lead Design Automation efforts, coordinating with various development groups, to automate the design process from quotation to final engineering production
