Job Description:
- Design of AC & DC traction power distribution solutions for rail and transit projects including providing technical input and project management;Solid experience of traction power distribution design engineering and an appreciation of related European Cenelec standards;
- Experience of issues associated with earthing and bonding of such systems and also including in AC/DC interface areas;
- Experience of traction power scheme modelling using the any equivalent traction load flow software packages;
Engineering of MV distribution systems;
Experience in EMI/EMC management will be advantage; - Familiar with Network Rail standard and GRIP Process;
- Able to hold competent technical discussions with Client representatives;
Consistent record in running the delivery of consultancy projects (monitoring progress and resource usage, identifying risks to project delivery, communicating with the client, etc.); - Very good time management skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines;
Candidate Specification
Desirable academic, professional Qualifications and experience:
- First Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant subject.
- 7-12 years’ experience in traction power engineering within a Railway design and build or consultancy business.
- A Chartered engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or working towards CEng/IEng
- Trained in both Microstation and Autocad CAD environments
- Excellent oral and written
- communication skills, good interpersonal skills
