Responsible for understanding the Design, test the proto parts and integration of his module/sub-system in accordance with the higher level architectural Requirements
Conducts Concept & Feasibility studies.
Ensures that there is proper documentation for the developed design
Ensures the mutual consistency and efficient integration of the separate components in modular design that meets the product specification
Ensures that his design modules meet the product certification requirements
Is abreast of / participates in standards identification required for testing designing
Networks with colleagues within BU and beyond and maintains external contacts for benchmarking, new technologies, tooling, design methods, and reflects them to the HW-group

As needed, lead the design development and release of packaging products or reverse engineer existing products to improve overall long term system quality, reliability, yield rates, and cost effectiveness. • Work with a cross-functional team that includes installers, handlers, and supply chain personnel to ensure the design and development of packaging products meet the needs of the internal and external customers. • Work with design partners/suppliers and lead product development activities from design concept to manufacturing release. • Use SolidWorks to create and modify mechanical 3D designs, and 2D drawings
